Vom 25. Oktober bis 11. November findet im zauberhaften Ort Bled (Slowenien) die 35. Schacholympiade statt. Rund 1.200 Schachspieler nehmen in 135 Männer- und 90 Damenteams daran teil. Die Bedenkzeit beträgt 90 Minuten + 30 Sekunden pro Zug. Es werden 14 Runden im Schweizer System gespielt.
